Hoover Reservoir is an ideal location for paddle boarding in Central Ohio.  Hoover Reservoir is located in Westerville, Ohio and is convenient to all areas of Columbus.  Located near Easton Mall,it is only a few minutes off the I-270 expressway.

Aloha SUP offers paddle boarding lessons, rentals, and sup yoga classes at Hoover Reservoir at the Walnut Street Launch at the corner of East Walnut Street and Sunbury Road.  Hoover Reservoir Park is managed by the City of Columbus Parks and Recreation Department and 2017 is the fourth season we have partnered with them to offer standup paddle boarding sessions (SUP).

We love Hoover as top location for paddle boarding because of its’ access and limited boat traffic.  Boats are limited to a 10 horsepower maximum and a 10 mph maximum making a very safe location for paddle boarding, especially beginners who are learning for the first time.  The scenic Hoover Dam Reservoir provides 85% of fresh drinking water to Columbus residents and anchors a park where residents can enjoy multi-purpose trails, frisbee golf, boating, and picnicking in addition the the paddle boarding classes that we offer.

In 2017 we have committed to 19 weekend dates and are offering some exciting new programs including sup yoga and a season pass for unlimited paddle boarding sessions.  You can view the class offerings at Hoover on our Aloha SUP registration site and purchase a season pass there as well.  The currently scheduled dates for paddle boarding are listed below.

You can view the Hoover Park overview on the City of Columbus Recreation and Parks Department website.
